I am a third year Computing student in the Artificial Intelligence stream at Queen’s University. My summer research investigates the use of hyper-local Agent-Based Modelling to predict the spread of infectious diseases, while incorporating GIS data to more accurately depict civil and commercial building distribution in the spatial component. By analyzing the mechanics of disease spread, this projects aims to inform public policy on the impact various measures may have on the health & safety of a population.
